The Nikon D7500 has an in-camera lens distortion correction feature that allows you to correct distortion, chromatic aberration, and vignetting directly in the camera. Here’s how to enable it:
- Press the “Menu” button on your camera.
- Navigate to the “Shooting Menu” (camera icon).
- Scroll down to “Lens Correction” and select it.
- Choose “Enable” to turn on the lens distortion correction feature.
- Use the “Distortion Control” option to correct any barrel or pincushion distortion that may be present in your images.
- Use the “Peripheral Illumination Correction” option to correct any vignetting that may be present in your images.
- Use the “Chromatic Aberration Control” option to correct any chromatic aberration that may be present in your images.
- Once you have made your corrections, press the “OK” button to save your settings.
Note that the in-camera lens correction feature only works with Nikon lenses that have been specifically designed to be compatible with the feature. If you are using a third-party lens, you may need to use post-processing software to correct lens distortion.
